MSPT has a unique physical therapy approach to examination / evaluation and patient management. In addition to their individual backgrounds, each physical therapist has been trained in the theories of Shirley Sahrmann.
A typical examination / evaluation at MSPT includes standard orthopedic tests designed to determine the source of the patient’s symptoms. However, the primary focus of the examination is on the impairments that contribute to the biomechanical cause of the symptoms . MSPT therapists are particularly concerned with the habitual postures and repeated movement patterns that contribute to the development and/or perpetuation of the current condition (or potential future condition).
